Common Cause of CRA Error Code 0 in CloudTax
A frequent cause of this error is related to the business address confirmation question on the first page of the T2 application in CloudTax.
The question asks:
“Has this address changed since the last time the CRA was notified?”
If this is answered Yes when the business address has not actually changed, the CRA expects an address update. When no change exists, the CRA cannot reconcile the information and returns Error Code 0 with the message “Unknown error occurred.”
How to Fix CRA Error Code 0
To resolve the issue:
Navigate to the first page of the T2 application in CloudTax
Review the business address details
If the address matches what the CRA already has on file, select No for the address change question
Save your changes and re submit the return
