Alberta AT1 Error: Tax Return Failed to File

Learn how to resolve the Alberta AT1 filing error "Tax Return - Failed to file return" by updating the Signing Officer's Position, Office or Rank field to "Director" before resubmitting your return.

If you are seeing the error “Tax Return - Failed to file return” when submitting your Alberta AT1 return, please update the signing officer information in your return.

Go to: Business Info → Signing Officer → Position, Office or Rank

In that field, enter: Director

Then click Next to save your changes and try submitting the return again.
