Be prepared to verify your identity by providing details such as:

Date of birth
Most recent tax return details
3. By Mail
Send a written request to your nearest tax centre.
Include:
Your full name
Social Insurance Number (SIN)
Old address and new address
Your signature
You can use Form RC325 (Address Change Request) for convenience.
4. On Your Tax Return
Update your address directly on your tax return before submitting it to the CRA.
Important Notes
Ensure your address is updated before the tax filing season to avoid delays in processing your return.
If you receive benefits like the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) or GST/HST Credit, updating your address ensures uninterrupted payments.
If you have a CRA My Account, changes made online are processed almost immediately.
Why This Matters
Keeping your address current with the CRA prevents missed correspondence, late tax filings, or interrupted benefit payments.
