It’s common for users to accidentally create more than one tax profile on CloudTax. This can happen if you start a return for a family member, test the platform, or sign up more than once with the same email.
The good news is that managing duplicate profiles is easy. Below is a step by step guide on how to delete a profile yourself or request a merge.
How to Delete a Profile Yourself
If you no longer need a profile and it has no important data, you can delete it directly from your dashboard.
Steps to delete a profile
Log in to your CloudTax account
Go to your dashboard where all tax profiles are listed
Hover your mouse over the profile you want to remove
A trash icon will appear next to the profile
Click the trash icon to delete the profile
Important: Once a profile is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need the information before deleting.
How to Merge Profiles for the Same Person
If both profiles contain useful information or tax data, deleting one may not be the best option. In this case, CloudTax can merge the profiles for you.

Merge requests related to PINs will only be accommodated for PLUS users, who are part of our paid or priority support tier.
For users who are not on the PLUS plan, there are still simple paths forward. They can either upgrade to PLUS to regain access to prior returns and request a merge, or create a new free account to continue using the platform.
